Our story

Hello friends!

Black Sea Lighting was founded by Nikola Kostov and started as a hobby back in 2015 — something he built alongside other work that quickly grew into a full-time passion and priority.

We specialize in handcrafted art lighting fixtures: chandeliers, pendant lights, ceiling fixtures, wall lights, sconces, and wine barrel lighting. Everything is made to order, designed in-house, and built by hand in our workshop in Varna, Bulgaria. Because each piece takes real time and care to create, no two are exactly alike.

Nikola personally designs every item. His brother Todor Kostov, along with two other members of our small team, helps with assembly, packaging, and shipping. Together we've made and shipped thousands of light fixtures to customers worldwide — primarily across the US, Canada, and Europe. Customizations are always welcome.

We put our soul into this work. These aren't just light fixtures — they're pieces that bring character and warmth to a space. We hope something from our workshop finds a home in yours.
