Handcrafted in our workshop, the Merlot is a wine barrel ceiling light made from a real retired oak wine barrel — sourced from the ancient vineyards of the Black Sea region in Bulgaria, home to some of the world's oldest winemaking traditions dating back to the time of the ancient Thracians.

Every barrel has lived a full life aging wine before becoming this light — the natural wood grain, deep color, and authentic patina are impossible to replicate artificially. No two barrels are the same, which means no two Merlot lights are identical. What you receive is genuinely one of a kind.
